School building security and structural rehabilitation plan (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.3)

Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption. In particular, this measure aims to contribute to the improvement of energy classes and leading to lower consumption and CO2 emissions as well as to increase structural safety of buildings.

Particular attention is paid to the most disadvantaged areas with the aim of tackling and eliminating economic and social imbalances.

The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 4.4 billion. The project is part of this investment.

The Russell Moro Guarini Institute branch and Einstein branch are located in Via Scotellaro n. 15 in Turin. The school complex is formed by the union of two blocks, named respectively Main Block and Gym Block.

Inside the main block there are spaces dedicated to teaching and laboratory activities.

Regulatory adaptation and safety of the working environment are planned in order to guarantee an optimal level of safety of the building components.

In particular, the project involves the renovation of the pitch of the gym roof overlooking the nursery, replacement of false ceilings and lamps with new LEDs.
