Robotics 4 farmers

The Robotics 4 Farmers project, an Agricultural Agenda under the Portuguese RRP, aims to increase the competitiveness and resilience of the economy based on R&D, innovation, diversification and specialisation of the productive structure.

A academia-agri-industry consortium has developed an autonomous robotic vehicle equipped with AI-guided cameras and a concentrated-laser (or solar-assisted) weeding system to identify and eliminate weeds without herbicides, thereby boosting competitiveness and sustainability in agriculture.

The agenda benefits from 117 760 EUR in RRP funding.
