Road safety

Bulgaria is improving road safety by creating conditions for sustainable road safety management on national and municipal roads.

With EUR 5,11 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility, investment supports the purchase of special-purpose equipment for road safety.

This includes:
- 31 special-purpose vehicles;
- 2 software applications for 1) the management of road activities, 2) the reporting signals concerning the road infrastructure.

The special-purpose vehicles  shall  represent the best available levels of environmental performance in the sector.

The investment shall be completed by 30 June 2026.
