Retrofitting of plastic packaging sorting facilities

TRG Tiroler Recycling GmbH & Co KG has succesfully adapted the sorting plant to the changed composition of the material flow from 2025 onwards. 

PET beverage bottles are subject to the deposit system and plastic packaging from households is collected together with metal packaging.

The plant modification has improved the 2D (foil) and 3D sorting depth (bodies) in the sorting process and increased recovery rates. The existing hall is being used as efficiently as possible.
