Copyright Regione autonoma Valle dAosta Protection and enhancement of rural architecture and landscape (Mission 1, Component 3, Investment 2.2)Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan provides this investment to stimulate a systematic process of upgrading historic rural buildings (private or third sector entities) and landscape protection.Many rural buildings and agricultural structures have undergone a progressive process of abandonment, degradation and alterations which have undermined their distinctive characteristics and their relationship with their surroundings. By restoring the rural building stock, the measure will improve the quality of the countryside’s landscape by returning to the community an underused building stock which is not accessible to the public.The investment is financed by the Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 600 million.As part of this investment, the project involves restoring the chapel to reopen it for religious services and make it accessible and visitable to the public and worshippers for cultural purposes, reintegrating the site into collective use.
