Protection and enhancement of rural architecture and landscape (Mission 1, Component 3, Investment 2.2)Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan provides this investment to stimulate a systematic process of upgrading historic rural buildings (private or third sector entities) and landscape protection.Many rural buildings and agricultural structures have undergone a progressive process of abandonment, degradation and alterations which have undermined their distinctive characteristics and their relationship with their surroundings. By restoring the rural building stock, the measure will improve the quality of the countryside’s landscape by returning to the community an underused building stock which is not accessible to the public.The investment is financed by the Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 600 million.As part of this investment, The project involves the conservation restoration of the building and its decorative features, together with seismic strengthening to improve structural safety. The works began in December 2023. The project also aims to enhance the value of the site within the rural village through thematic routes (open-air museum) and guided tours. This project is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility with EUR 119.360,00.
