Copyright: Croatian government This investment, supported with EUR 179.5 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, aims to develop and implement a new urban mobility ecosystem project. The investment will provide support for the R&D part of the project, namely the phase marked by the completion of the initial prototype of fully autonomous electric vehicle and the start of work on the development of verification prototypes. The new urban mobility ecosystem should include three key components: a fully autonomous electric vehicles, a specialised infrastructure for autonomous and electric vehicles integrated with public urban transport, and the development of a software platform to operate the complete system. The implementation of the project in the City of Zagreb is expected to significantly increase transport safety while increasing the efficiency and reducing congestion.The project is also expected reduce the overall emissions from road transport, through research and innovation processes, technology transfer and cooperation between low-carbon economy companies. The project shall also include creating a digitalised system of zero-emission, self-driving vehicles and digitalised charging infrastructure.
