Copyright: web vall de l’hidrògen The VAL2H2 project, funded by NextGenerationEU, is one of the first initiatives to be led by the H2CAT network. The project is carried out by a consortium involving: Sorigué (coordinator); Indox Energy Systems; Rovira i Virgili University; Eurecat Technological Center; Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC); and Centre for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT). VAL2H2 aims to research new technologies for the generation, storage, and use of renewable hydrogen from the valorization of bioresidues, with the goal of addressing decarbonization challenges in a cross-cutting, collaborative, and open manner. It is a network effort aimed at positioning Catalonia as a leader in creating a transfer ecosystem between research and the productive, social, and commercial environment in the field of green hydrogen. The H2Cat network is part of the Catalonia Hydrogen Valley, a fully established strategic initiative involving more than 70 companies, around fifty public bodies, 14 associations and clusters, 4 chambers of commerce, and 14 knowledge and research centers.
