Replacement of hops poles impregnated with creosote

This scheme offers subsidies to SMEs in the agricultural sector that run hops plantations. The aim is to finance replacements of old poles impregnated with creosote - a substance harmful to health - with creosote-free alternatives. Poland’s hops production amounts to 2500 tonnes per years (third place in the EU and fifth place in the world). Projects for the implementation of this scheme are currently being selected.

The implementation of the investment is expected to be completed by 31 December 2025.
