Renovation of the "Palabanca" indoor sports facility

Sport and social inclusion (Mission 5, Component 3, Investment 7)

Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for the regeneration of urban areas with a focus on sports facilities, in order to promote social inclusion and integration, especially in the most disadvantaged areas of Italy.

The financed projects will support: (I) the construction and regeneration of sports facilities, located in disadvantaged areas of the country, including metropolitan suburbs; (II) the distribution of sports equipment for disadvantaged areas; (III) the completion and adaptation of existing sports facilities such as: (by way of example: functional recovery, renovation, extraordinary maintenance, elimination of architectural barriers and energy efficiency).

The investment is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan with EUR 350 million.

The renovation project of the indoor sports facility "Palabanca" is part of this investment.

The project aims to carry out building renovation of the complex with demolition and reconstruction of some of the buildings that make up the structure, renovation of technological systems, energy efficiency, improved accessibility and adaptation to sector regulations.

The NRRP funds allocated to this project amount to EUR 1.4 million.
