Copyright: "MónTerrassa " The Next GenerationEU funds finance the Vapor de Prodis project to give new life to two of the 19 industrial warehouses that make up the former Vapor Cortés in the Ca N'Auradell neighborhood of Terrassa. Led by Prodis, a non-profit organization that has been working with people with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, or cerebral palsy for over 60 years, Vapor de Prodis implements a new community and day care model with a different perspective towards people with intellectual disabilities as members of the community. This is how a 4,400 square meter space will become an occupational center that won't look like an occupational center. A space for people with disabilities, but also for the neighborhood and the city. The center will host everything from a restaurant, which will be used to train future kitchen helpers and waiters, to a multifunctional art space, a theater and auditorium, community spaces, and a Social and Solidarity Economy Market. These will be spaces of tranquility and encounter, with a walkway open to the city.
