Copyright: Borzen The aim of the reform is to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy technologies in the electricity sector and to support the national contribution to the European Union’s renewable energy target.To this end, the Act on the Promotion of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources entered into force on 7 August 2021 and its amendment on 18 December 2021. The Act on the Deployment of Electricity Generation Plants from Renewable Energy Sources entered into force on 3 August 2023.The new legislation removed certain legal and administrative obstacles in the area of spatial planning and allowed the creation of a single point of contact to assist consumers in all procedures for the installation and connection of generating installations to renewable energy sources. The Single Point of Contact was set up in September 2022.
