The National Forest Strategy 2030 is a document transposing the Forestry Strategy of the European Union in Romania.The adoption of the document, is a milestone in the implementation of Component C2 – Forests and biodiversity protection – of the National Recovery and Resilience Programme (NRRP).The elaboration of the Strategy, initiated by the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, was attended by professors of the Faculty of Forestry and Forestry Exploitation of the Transilvania University of Brasov, the Faculty of Forestry of Suceava and independent experts from the forestry sector.The project is a strategic document that has as general objectives: ensuring the balanced integration of social, ecological and economic functions in forest management, obtaining a social agreement on the harmonization of rights, and, the interests and obligations of stakeholders and those affected by forest management, enabling the adaptation of regulatory and control instruments, financial support instruments and those affected by forest management.The forest code was published in the Official Gazette (Monitorul Oficial) no. 7 of 09 January 2025 becoming Law 331/2024.One of the most significant changes is to guarantee free access for walking or cycling in all the forests of the country.Additional links:https://www.presshub.ro/...https://www.ceccarbusinessmagazine.ro/...
