This project, which will receive a grant of €6,172,527 from the NextGenerationEU fund (80% of the total budget), is being developed at the URQUIMA chemical plant in Sant Fost de Campsentelles, now integrated into the pharmaceutical company Noucor. The aim is to reduce the overall environmental impact of the production process at this plant, which generates fifty tons of active ingredients annually. On the one hand, a reduction of over 60% in the emission of air pollutants into the atmosphere is expected, reaching levels much lower than the legal limits established, through the optimization of air purification systems and the installation of equipment that transforms chemical particles. On the other hand, the goal is to decrease wastewater volume by 80% and maximize the reuse of clean water obtained after the evaporation process. This project falls under the umbrella of the strategic project (PERTE) 'Cutting-Edge Health'.
