Reducing the Digital Divide at Public Universities in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands

The seven public universities in Catalonia, along with the University of the Balearic Islands, are adapting to the digital transformation to ensure an improvement in educational quality and the reduction of the existing digital divide.

A total of €12,650,143 from the NextGenerationEU fund (100% of the total budget) will be allocated to this objective.

Among other digital solutions, these universities are incorporating video conferencing and class recording systems in classrooms, educational technology tools for content management and support for collaboration and class participation (interactive quizzes), digital processes for personalized education, open resource repositories for learning, and certification programs and training in digital skills for the entire university community, including faculty, staff, students, and researchers.
