Mission 5 – Component 2, Investment 4: -Investments in projects of urban regeneration, aimed at reducing situations of marginalization and social degradationItaly’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for investments in urban regeneration, to reduce marginalization and social degradation as well as to improve the social and environmental context of urban centres.The measure aims at supporting the reuse and re-functionalization of public areas and existing public building structures for purposes of public interest, and at improving the urban landscape through renovation of public buildings, with particular attention to the development of social, cultural, educational and didactic services, including sporting activities.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 2 billion.As part of this investment, this project has as its main goal the enhancement of historical places and cultural interest.This intervention aims, therefore, at the redevelopment of public spaces (respecting the context and the PRG in force) in order to obtain a decent and functional environment for the community, creating large places of social aggregation, creating the conditions for a better fruition through the reordering of the vehicular traffic and the arrangement of the roads, with the right attention also to the footpath and cycling.The NRRP funds allocated to this project amount to EUR 922.040 ReferenceM4C1Project locations Italy EU contribution€2 000 000 000
