Plan for nurseries and preschools and early childhood education and care services (Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 1.1)Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan includes an investment plan for the 0-6 age group, aimed at increasing the supply of childcare facilities by building, renovating and ensuring the safety of nurseries and preschools, to ensure an increase in the educational offer and the available slots for the 0-6 age group, and thus improve teaching quality. The measure is expected to encourage women’s participation in the labour market and support caregivers in reconciling family and professional life.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 3.2 billion.As part of this investment, improvements and expansion of the Val Cannuta Nursery School, located in the territory of Municipality III, are planned.The building currently houses a nursery school, and the intervention activities will aim to expand it to make it accessible to a greater number of children.The objective is therefore to reorganise the existing premises to increase the capacity of the building, paying particular attention to structural safety and energy efficiency of the structure.Project objectives will include:- the increase in the current surface area (from 960 sqm to 1,160 sqm);- the increase of the seismic safety index to 0.815;- the improvement of the energy class up to letter D;- fire-fighting adaptation.This project is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility with EUR 1.728.000,00 ReferenceM4C1Project locations Italy EU contribution€1 728 000 Project websitehttps://www.romasitrasforma.it/en/intervento/inclusion/redevelopment-and-expans…
