Reconversion of spaces to be used as school canteen to serve elementary and kindergarten

Plan for the extension of full-time  (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 1.2)

Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for the extension of school time, in order to increase the educational offer of schools and make them open and available to the territory beyond school hours.

The measure envisages the construction or renovation of canteen spaces for at least 1 000 structures to allow for the extension of school time.

Extended schooling hours are expected to have a positive impact on the fight against early school leaving.

The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 1 billion.

The project of the conversion of spaces to be used as school canteen for the elementary school and kindergarten is part of this investment.

The project aims at improving the educational service of elementary school and kindergartner by adding two dedicated rooms as canteen.

This will improve the full time education service by offering the chance for childer to have a dedicate space for lunching.

The amount of NRRP funds allocated to this project is equal to EUR 125,000.
