Reconstruction, renovation and improvement of energy efficiency of the primary school building of Evlogi Georgiev Secondary School, town of Trastenik, municipality of Dol

The project, financed with EUR 1,3 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, concerns the introduction of measures to improve energy efficiency and the modernisation of the educational environment at "Evlogi Georgiev" Secondary School, town of Trastenik, commune of Dolna Mitropolia.

In recent years, repairs have been carried out in a large part of the buildings related to the educational sphere.

Within the framework of the current project proposal, activities will be carried out in accordance with the prescribed measures in the report of the energy survey of the school building. The roof and walls will be thermally insulated. 

A new heating installation will be built, which will increase the heat output coefficient, a heat pump with a high coefficient will be installed. A photovoltaic installation will also be built.

Given the demographic potential of the territory and the peculiarities of the age structure of the population in the municipality of D.Mitropolia, the constructed facilities for preschool and school preparation are determined to be sufficient for the needs of the local residents and at this stage it is not necessary to build new ones.

The overall goal of the project proposal is to promote social inclusion and increase the quality of life in the town of D. Mitropolia and the municipality as a whole, by improving the material base and ensuring a healthy and safe environment for children in preschool and school education in the municipality. 

This will improve access to basic services for the general population and stimulate the sustainable development of the municipality of D. Mitropolia. A more comfortable, welcoming and safe environment for children to learn, care and play will be provided.
