The project aims to create a new public tourism infrastructure, the Park Radetzky, which will enable a unique interpretation of the former owner’s story through high-quality and sustainable landscape-horticultural arrangements. Under the scheme, Park Radetzky, as one of the main tourist hubs in the municipality, will become a new motive for visiting the city centre, both by foreign and domestic visitors.

Objectives of the project:
• activate the untapped potential of a functionally devalued cultural heritage site;
• establish a high-quality and highly attractive public tourist point within the historic city centre of Tržič;
• enabling infrastructure conditions for the development of tourism products linked to the story of Radetzky;
• provide wider public benefits;
• the use of the park and the involvement of local populations and providers in Park Radetzky and its products.

As part of the project, the municipality will ensure the creation of new tourist infrastructure – landscape development of park areas, layout of demonstration space with public toilet facilities, installation of equipment.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 299,054, while the total investment is worth EUR 887.298,64. The project will be finalised by the end of 2024.
