Copyright: Municipality of Ribnica The objective of the investment is to strengthen the competitiveness of value chains in different economic sectors by supporting innovative ecosystems.The investment shall support the development of economic and business infrastructure contributing to the objectives of the Smart Specialisation Strategy and the development of existing business and brownfield sites into business infrastructure.The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development announced the funds for the implementation of the investment in two public tenders. The first one was published on 25 February 2022 and the second one was published on 20 December 2024, corresponding to the balance of unused funds from the first call. Both calls for tenders aim to strengthen the competitiveness of value chains in different sectors of the economy by supporting innovative ecosystems.Both calls aim to implement 12 projects that will support the development of economic and business infrastructure and regional development and will prioritise the re-use of functionally degraded areas, while closely linking them to public transport and the existing road network.The value of the investment is estimated at EUR 14.6 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
