Protection of environment and biodiversity Naturpakt

The goal of the investment is to incentivise nature and biodiversity protection actions in municipalities.  

A combination of reforms and investments establishes a legal, financial, technical and advisory framework that encourages municipalities to increasingly engage in natural environment and biodiversity protection actions, the so-called Naturpakt.

The legal basis on Naturpakt and a catalogue of nature and biodiversity protection measures was adopted in 2021. Today, almost all of the municipalities are participating. They are using consultants to help establish the initial state of the nature protection and implement the measures. After the first audits, more than 70 municipalities are certified.
