Programme to accelerate economic recovery and transformation through research and innovation

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides EUR 142 million to support Bulgaria’s research and innovation performance, technology transfer and information-sharing.

EUR 120 million go for the implementation of innovation programs by 10 research higher education institutions.

The Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski receives BGN 44 million from the RRP for the project "Sofia University - a maker for innovation and technology transfer (SUMMIT)". The project duration is 42 months.

Project objectives:

The Strategic Science and Innovation Programme SUMMIT of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is a set of actions in five key areas for the development of the university: Natural Sciences, including High Technologies; Health and Medicine; Mathematics and Informatics; Natural Resources, Ecology and Environment; Social Sciences; Humanities, including Cultural and Historical Heritage; Business and Economics.
