PROFEA program for the digital literacy of rural women

The project 'Digital literacy for women hired under the Plan for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment (PROFEA)'implemented entirely by the State Public Employment Service, SEPE, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), is a commitment to the personal development and social inclusion of women in rural areas.

PROFEA implements training itineraries for women in the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia and Extremadura and in depressed rural areas.

180,000 women who are or have been hired under the Plan for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment can acquire the digital skills necessary for full participation in society and in the digital economy, and thus have better employment opportunities.

The PRTR is firmly committed to investing in Digital Skills for all citizens and, specifically, in employment, due to its importance in combating the digital, gender and territorial divide, as well as the chronification of unemployment and its psychosocial consequences.
