The proceeds from the sale of the generated energy will be returned to selected families in need by the Hungarian Maltese Charity Foundation. In 19 catching-up settlements, 20 499.5 kW solar power plants have been built with a capacity of 12 513 kWp. All 20 solar power plants are connected to the grid and are in production. The revenue from the sale of the energy produced in this way will be returned by the Hungarian Charity Service of Malta Foundation to the needy families living in the catching-up settlements. In the project a selection procedure was developed to allocate the revenues from energy production to families in need, which takes into account social need, the age of the children and the willingness to cooperate. During the 2024/2025 heating season, 1,000 winning families received heating support, representing 2,453 children and 2,166 adults.Additional link:https://maltai.hu/cikk/hír/4563Top 100 recipients4.
