Powder coating with green energy at Forster Metallbau

Forster Metallbau GmbH produces noise barriers and shelving systems for the national and international market at its site in St. Peter in der Au (Lower Austria). A comprehensive energy analysis revealed that the powder coating plant is the largest consumer of natural gas at the site. 

In order to make this process more environmentally friendly, the company is planning to install a biomass thermal oil boiler. It will be operated together with a heat exchanger and a flue gas cleaning system.

Greenhouse gas emissions are expected to be reduced by 1,126 tons annually after completion of the project. The project is currently in the construction phase.
