Copyright: Croatian authorities The renovation of Sisak high school to its original state before damage was financed by the EU Solidarity Fund, while the difference to full renovation, including the increase in the energy efficiency of buildings and increasing their seismic resilience (‘build back better’ principle) was financed by the RRF. Sisak High school was heavily damaged in the 2020 earthquakes and more than 300 students and their teachers had to be moved to a temporary location provided by the county. After the renovation, 320 students could return to their school starting in the school year of 2023/2024. The Gymnasium now operates in one shift.
