Personal and family support and guidance units against school failure.

The various territorial services of the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya have received additional personnel to establish Personal and Family Support and Guidance Units aimed at preventing failure and promoting learning and academic success in particularly vulnerable students.

In the Balearic Islands, there has also been an increase in the hiring of education professionals.

This initiative is financed through NextGenerationEU funds and is expected to last for three school years.

A total of one hundred twenty professionals are working to support the educational pathways of these students, with the goal of reducing the repetition rate, preventing school dropout, improving academic performance, and fostering motivation for learning.

These professionals will promote emotional and mental health skill development, emotional education tutorials, and personalized sessions for academic and career guidance.

This work is carried out in coordination and collaboration with school teaching teams, families, and professionals from community-based services and organizations.

Additionally, the Balearic Islands will have eighteen community services technical teachers.

This action complements the Proa+ program funded by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
