Overhaul and introduction of measures for energy efficiency of the gymnasium at the school "Hristo Botev" - Nikopol

The implementation of the project, financed with EUR 0,518 million, will satisfy the need of provision of a modern material base, which guarantees healthy and quality conditions for class activities, physical training and sports of the students at SU "Hristo Botev", through repair and introduction of energy-efficient measures. 

An energy survey found out that the current energy class of the building is "F", and after the implementation of the ESM, the building will achieve energy class "A". The primary energy savings will be 299970.96 kWh/y. This will provide better conditions for classroom activities and will reduce the school's costs, especially during the cold months.

The target groups consist of 277 children from Nikopol and 6 villages of the municipality studying at SU "Hristo Botev", as well as teachers and auxiliary school staff.

The main goal is to provide a modern material base to guarantee healthy and high-quality conditions for class activities, physical education and sports activities for the students at SU "Hristo Botev" - Nikopol by building an energy-efficient, attractive, healthy and safe environment for development, training, education and socialization of students.

Specific goals: 

  • Improvement of the sports school building of SU "Hristo Botev" - town of Nikopol through renovation and introduction of energy-efficient measures for an energy-efficient, supportive and motivating educational environment, including the classrooms located in the building;
  • Provision of a modern material base, through a set of school equipment/furniture of the sports hall of SU "Hristo Botev" - town of Nikopol.

Through the planned renovation, the improvement of the energy efficiency of the building for physical education, including a sports part, a classroom, sanitary facilities, a teacher's room and auxiliary premises, and through the purchase of new sports equipment, students will receive healthy and quality conditions for class activities and activities on physical education.
