The law increases and stabilises the funding of RDI activities, increases the autonomy of public research organisations, implements results-based funding elements, encourages the participation of researchers in EU research projects and with EU companies; and promotes greater internationalisation and cross-sectoral mobility and transfer skills. The reform also included the introduction of a new governance model and integration of the research and innovation ecosystem, including the establishment of a Joint Programme Committee. The latter was established by decision of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on 10 May 2022 and allows for stable and continuous coordination at strategic and operational level. The reform also allows for the establishment of a common monitoring and evaluation system for RDI policies, the reinforcement and empowerment of the two executive agencies, as well as the strengthening of the support environment of already established entities and networks at national and international level to allow for better knowledge flow and collaboration between academia and businesses.Additional links:https://www.gov.si/zbirke/projekti-in-programi/nacrt-za-okrevanje-in-od…https://www.uradni-list.si/glasilo-uradni-list-rs/vsebina/2021-01-3695/…https://www.uradni-list.si/glasilo-uradni-list-rs/vsebina/2023-01-1129?…https://www.gov.si/assets/ministrstva/MIZS/Dokumenti/ZNANOST/Novice/PC2… ReferenceC3.K8.RAProject locations Slovenia Project websitehttps://www.gov.si/...
