New Industrial Parks - VOLOS INDUSTRIAL PARK

The measure aims to support entrepreneurship, promote digital transformation, and enhance the competitiveness of Greek industry, while achieving environmental goals and strengthening the circular economy.

It is implemented in 2 sections:

Section I provides financing for: a) the creation of new, next-generation industrial parks. b) the expansion, modernization and upgrading of existing industrial areas and parks, enabling them to align with the "Industry 4.0" strategy, in order to increase their readiness for the transition to 5G and ultra-high bandwidth infrastructure, the use of renewable energy sources, the implementation of smart energy management and energy saving interventions, as well as the development of circular economy infrastructure, c) the transformation of high industrial density areas into technologically smart, environmentally sustainable, and innovative industrial parks.

Section II provides funding for the construction of power substations to support existing business parks and the surrounding areas as well as to promote the saving, storage and distribution of energy and RES.

20 industrial parks and 9 power substations nationwide have been included in the measure, and works are currently underway.
