New hydrogen production capacity installed

The objective of this EUR 15 million investment is a new installation with 10MW of renewable hydrogen power production capacity, by electrolysis, combined with a solar power plant that would partially power the production unit.

The building of a hydrogen electrolyser with transport network shall enable the production and transmission of 100% pure renewable hydrogen.

The investment shall be in line with sectoral rules regarding production of renewable hydrogen with electricity from the grid, to ensure that renewable hydrogen production shall not increase GHG emissions.

Croatian oil company INA signed a contract for construction of green hydrogen in Rijeka refinery in April 2024.
