Modernization of sports facilities in the Balearic Islands

The project involves the modernization of sports facilities within the Balearic Islands' Network of Training Centers through actions aimed at improving energy efficiency and optimizing their usage, by means of digitization or enhancing accessibility.

It is funded with 1,033,837 euros from NextGenerationEU funds (100% of the total budget) and is part of the Balearic Islands' Sports Energy Plan 2.0.

Among other initiatives, a photovoltaic installation will be provided on the eastern stand of the Municipal Sports Field of na Capallera in Manacor; energy-saving measures will be implemented at both the Municipal Athletics Track and the Melani Costa Sports Center in Calvià; and the exterior lighting of the Sant Ferran Supramunicipal Sports Center in Palma will be replaced.
