Modernisation, introduction of energy saving measures and providing an accessible environment in the school building of the Secondary School "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Pesh

The project, financed with EUR 2,3 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, envisages modernisation, introduction of energy-saving measures and provision of an accessible environment in the school building of SU St. Kliment Ohridski - town of Peshtera.SU St. Kliment Ohridski is the largest school in the municipality of Peshtera. 336 students from the 1st to the 12th grade are educated there. 

The school is a secondary school, students from the villages of Radilovo, the village of Kapitan Dimitrievo, as well as students from the nearby villages of Byaga, Kozarsko, Isperihovo, are educated there. Primary and junior high school students are taught in general education day form.High school students study the "Entrepreneurship" profile in the VIIIth grade and the "Software and hardware sciences" profile in the IX to XIIth grade. To date, the building is visited by 336 students and 42 staff members.

The building is located in UPI III , quarter 13 on "D.Debelyanov" str. No.5A according to the plan of the town of Peshtera.

The renovation works include renovation of the common areas, laying of thermal insulation of all the enclosing elements, replacement of the windows, installation of a new management and control system, a new heat source and photovoltaic plant, as well as the supply of equipment and furnishings. 

The implementation activities stem from the selected package of measures set out in the Energy Survey Report and provide for improving the energy efficiency of the building to class A. 

The goal of the project is to create conditions for equal access to education by building a favorable, inclusive, innovative, energy-efficient, supportive and motivating educational environment that contributes to increasing the motivation for learning and self-training and improving the educational results of SU students.
