Modernisation of the educational environment of the United School "Neofit Rilski" - Dermantsi village

The building of the “N. Rilski” School in Dermantsi consists of two sections that are separated by an expansion joint: an old body (built before 1947) with two extensions (a gym and a sports hall also separated by an expansion joint) and a new body that was finished in 1978.

The project, financed with EUR 1,27 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, will modernise the school environment by construction of a STEM center and multi-functional areas for studying and communication.The project will provide access for people with disabilities to all parts of the building:

  • basement,which houses the canteen;
  • first and second floors by building an elevator with three stops;
  • main entrance by building a ramp and leveling the floors in the whole building;
  • remodeling the bathrooms.

In 2021, there was an Examination according to Art.176c if the Territorial Planning Law and a Technical Passport of the building was prepared, and in January 2023 an EE examination was conducted and a valid certificate for the energy characteristics of the building in exploitation was prepared according to the latest regulatory requirements.

The investment under “EE” part provides for the following measures:

1.General:

  • on the enclosing structures and elements:thermal insulation of external walls,roof and floor structures
  • on the systems:for lightning;
  • for heating/cooling with “air-to-air” heat pump units;
  • for DHW preparation with thermodynamic electric heating devices;
  • building automation and control,incl.energy consumption monitoring.

2.RES utilization measure:

  • construction of a hybrid photovoltaic system for the production of electricity for own needs–100 kW.

The implementation will lead to the achievement of energy consumption class A. The achieved share of energy from RES will cover the requirement for buildings with close to zero net energy consumption(NZEB).

The investment will be executed through engineering.An independent licensed consulting company will carry out a compliance assessment of the investment project and construction supervision of the site.
