Modernisation of the educational environment in Todor Kableshkov Primary School, Plovdiv

The project, financed with EUR 0,873 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, aims to modernise the educational infrastructure of "Todor Kableshkov" Primary School, Plovdiv through interventions for: major repair, reconstruction, remodelling, introduction of energy efficiency measures, extension to ensure an accessible environment, and ennoblement of adjacent yard space to achieve a completely renewed appearance and environment of the school, which provides education for 187 children.

To achieve this the following intervention will be implemented:

1. Implementation of EE measures in "Todor Kableshkov" Primary School to achieve near-zero energy consumption and energy class "A", in accordance with Article 48 of the EE, including photovoltaic installation for own use and a lithium-ion energy storage system.
2. Ensuring the accessibility of the environment, in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance No. RD-02-20-2 /26.01.2021, including an extension to provide sanitary facilities for people with disabilities.
3. Achieving the set requirements and standards defined in Regulation No. 24/2020, and by creating a STEM environment in 2 specialised classrooms, renovation and provision of new furniture in existing classrooms, allocation of spaces for learning and recreation in the school yard, etc.
4. Interventions for major repair, reconstruction and renovation of the building of "Todor Kableshkov" Primary School, incl. replacement of electrical and plumbing installations, etc.

All planned activities are in accordance with the principle of "not causing significant damage" and are planned in accordance with the guidelines of RRF and the applicable norms of Spatial Planning Law, EE Law, Regulations No.24/10.09.2020. and No. RD-02-20-2/26.01.2021, and all other relevant legislation, with a view to achieve a completely renewed appearance of "Todor Kableshkov" Primary School and providing conditions for a quality and modern education.
