Modernisation of educational environment in Secondary School "Peyo Kr. Yavorov" - Plovdiv

The project, financed with EUR 2,3 million from the Recovery and Resiliene Facility, is aimed at the modernisation of the educational infrastructure of the Secondary School “Peyo Kr. Yavorov”- Plovdiv, by carrying out interventions for: major repairs, reconstruction, remodeling, extension and introduction of EE measures,incl.provision of accessible environment and conditions, to achieve a completely renewed appearance and environment of the institution which provides education to 818 kids.

This will be implemented through a set of correlated interventions incl.:

1. Implementation of EE measures in the building of Secondary School “Peyo Kr. Yavorov”-Plovdiv to achieve Class A energy efficiency, acc.Art. 48 of Energy Efficiency Act, incl. building a photovoltaic energy source for its personal use
2. Ensuring the accessibility of the environment,in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance №RD-02-20-2 /2021,incl. through extension, in order to ensure single shift education system,improve the access for people with disabilities to and in the building of the institution covered in the project;
3. Achieving the set requirements and standards defined in Ordinance №24/2020, including: by restructuring the communication areas, separating areas through use of different colors, etc., incl.building STEM environment;
4. Carrying out interventions for repairing and renovating the building of Secondary School “Peyo Kr. Yavorov”.

All planned activities are in accordance with the “do no significant harm”principle, with the Technical guidance of Reg. of RRM and the applicable norms of the Spatial Development Act, the EEA, Ordinances №24/10.09.2020 and №RD-02-20-2/26.01.2021, incl.relevant legislation, with aim to achieve a renewed appearance of Secondary School “Peyo Kr. Yavorov”- Plovdiv to ensure conditions for quality,modern education and increase the motivation for learning,self-training and improving the educational results of children and students.
