Modernisation of educational environment in kindergarten "Rusalka", Vidin city

The investment, financed with EUR 0,82 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, aims to renovate and modernize the municipal educational infrastructure through repair and implementation of energy efficiency (EE) measures in the building of the "Rusalka" kindergarten in Vidin. Improving the energy and operational characteristics of the building will increase the quality of the educational process and significantly reduce operating costs. 

The implementation of the activities will ensure cost-effective operation of the building, which will allow sustainable management and maintenance. 

There will be provided an accessible environment for people with disabilities, in order to protect people's life and health.

By implementing EE measures and introducing a building automation and control system, incl. energy consumption monitoring, the EE of the building will increase, electricity consumption and CO2 emissions will be reduced. After the completion of construction and assembly works, the building will go from energy efficiency class "C" to energy efficiency class "A", meeting the requirement for a Building with close to zero energy consumption by the energy consumption scale. The implementation of EE measures will respond to the need to reduce the costs of energy and resources- in line with the priorities of environmental protection and good financial management of public institutions.

The proposal for the implementation of an investment will make a significant contribution to the improvement of the conditions for the provision of early childhood care, as well as educational services in the town of Vidin. With the modernization of the educational environment in the "Rusalka" kindergarten - an object of intervention under the project, not only a European look will be given to the building, but also better conditions will be created for quality and affordable preschool education on the territory of Vidin.
