Modernisation of the educational environment in "Hristo Botev" Primary School, Aheloy

The project, financed wirh EUR 1,27 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, will satisfy the need to provide a modern material base that guarantees healthy and quality conditions for class activities of the students in the OU "Hristo Botev", Aheloy,through the repair of the building stock,the introduction of energy-efficient measures and delivery and installation of equipment and furniture for the school's classrooms.

At the moment,the energy class of the building during the survey is F, and after the implementation of the ESM,the building will achieve energy class A+,and the primary energy savings will be in the amount of 737789 kWh/y. On the one hand,this will provide more good conditions for class activities,on the one hand it will reduce the school's expenses.

The target groups are 224 students from Aheloy and other settlements of the municipality,as well as 30 teachers and auxiliary school staff.

The main goal is to provide a modern material base and infrastructure that guarantees healthy and quality conditions for students' classroom activities by building an energy-efficient,attractive,favorable,healthy and safe environment for the development,learning,upbringing and socialization of students in order to improve of educational outcomes and motivation to learn.

Specific objectives:

• Improvement of the school building through roof repair, replacement of windows, heating, ventilation, cooling installations, lighting fixtures, reconstruction to build a ramp to provide an accessible environment to ensure a complete renewed look of the educational institution both externally and internally and introducing energy efficient measures for an energy efficient,supportive and motivating educational environment;
• Provision of a modern material base, through a set of school furnishings for the classrooms.

Through the planned renovation,the improvement of the energy efficiency of the building and the purchase of new furniture for the classrooms, the students will receive healthy and quality conditions for class activities.
