Modernisation of the educational environment and introduction of measures for energy efficiency and accessible environment in the building of Secondary School "Vasil Levs

The project, financed with EUR 1,28 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, is aimed at modernising the educational environment and introducing measures for energy efficiency and providing an accessible environment in the building of SU "Vasil Levski", town of Malko Tarnovo. 

The activities that will be implemented in implementation of the project proposal are:

1. Carrying out major repairs, reconstruction and renovation of the building of SU "Vasil Levski", town of Malko Tarnovo, incl. and implementation of activities for the modernization of the physical environment in the school, according to Ordinance No. 24 of 2020;
2. Implementation of energy efficiency measures in the building of SU "Vasil Levski", town of Malko Tarnovo to achieve class "A", acc. Art. 48 of the ZEE and construction of a power plant for own consumption with an installed capacity of 19 kWp.;
3. Ensuring the accessibility of the environment, in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance No. RD-02-20-2 /26.01.2021, through the construction and installation of a new passenger elevator, to ensure access from the adjacent terrain to all levels of the building; installation of an electric wheelchair stair platform to the staircaseshoulder from elevation ±0.00 to elevation -2.50m. to provide access to the gym and changing rooms for men from the 1st floor of the building; allocation of new sanitary units for persons in a disadvantaged position in the sanitary premises on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the building.

The planned activities will be implemented in accordance with the Technical Guidelines for the application of the principle of "doing no significant harm" under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Regulation.

With the implementation of the current project, a complete renewed appearance of the educational institution - SU "Vasil Levski", town of Malko Tarnovo will be achieved.
