Modernisation of building and furniture in Kindergarten "Volshebstvo", city of Burgas, including introduction of energy efficiency measures and ensuring accessibility

In recent years, Burgas Municipality has invested significant resources in the introduction of energy-efficient measures in public buildings. Despite the hard work in the implementation of conventional energy efficiency measures for buildings, such as renovation, installation of solar collectors, laying thermal insulation, replacement of window frames, change of fuel base, the municipal administration continues to look for other opportunities to increase energy efficiency in the direction of decarbonization of the building stock.

DG "Valshebstvo" Burgas was founded in 1947. It consists of basement and two floors, and due to the exhaustion of the capacity of the garden and the growing interest for admission to the kindergarten, in 2006 a superstructure of an existing building was built and the 3rd and 4th floors of the building were upgraded.

The project, financed with EUR 0,93 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, addresses the need to modernize the building stock, introduce EE measures leading to energy and budgetary costs and ensure access for persons with disabilities to and inside the building.

The project envisages a complete modernization of the central building of the kindergarten "Valshebstvo", Burgas to provide an attractive, resource-efficient and accessible educational and educational environment.

The implementation of the investment envisages activities for the introduction of energy efficiency measures, external and internal aestheticization of the building in the application of the highest sanitary and hygienic standards, providing access for persons with disabilities to and inside the building, and improvement of the yard.
