Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino School building security and structural rehabilitation plan (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.3)Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption. In particular, this measure aims to contribute to the improvement of energy classes and leading to lower consumption and CO2 emissions as well as to increase structural safety of buildings.Particular attention is paid to the most disadvantaged areas with the aim of tackling and eliminating economic and social imbalances.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 4.4 billion. The project is part of this investment.The Institute of Higher Education ""Piero Martinetti"" is located in Via Montello n. 29 in Caluso, southwest of the historic center and immediately behind the rural fabric, and was born in the early 80s as a branch of the Liceo ""Antonio Gramsci"" of Ivrea, from which it is detached in the school year 1988 - 89 becoming an autonomous entity.The building consists of two buildings: Classrooms and gym connected by a connecting tunnel on the ground floor.The safety and regulatory and functional adjustment measures provided are: replacement of exterior windows and windows painting classrooms with new windows and windows renovation emergency stairs.Specifically, it is planned to replace most of the existing windows and windows of the building for a total of 342 sqm on a total of 520 sqm divided as follows: Type A windows and doors, of square shape with rounded corners and dimension equal to 0,98 x 0,98, in the basement, raised and first floors, for no. 108 type B windows and windows on the second floor, rectangular in shape and measuring 2,62 x 1,50 m in height, for n. 32 windows and doors type C, rectangular shape with 5 mirrors and a single block of 4.55 x 2.10 m high, in the basement, raised, first and second floors, for n. 8.The objective of this intervention, in addition to equipping the building with more modern and functional windows, is to improve thermal-acoustic comfort and ensure adequate ventilation and air changes in the environment.Top 100 recipients:CITTÀ METROPOLITANA DI TORINO Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino ReferenceM4C1Project locations Italy EU contribution€4 400 000 000
