Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino School building security and structural rehabilitation plan (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.3)Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption.In particular, this measure aims to contribute to the improvement of energy classes and leading to lower consumption and CO2 emissions as well as to increase structural safety of buildings.Particular attention is paid to the most disadvantaged areas with the aim of tackling and eliminating economic and social imbalances.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 4.4 billion.The project is part of this investment.The school complex was built in the municipality of Cirié in an area to destination education services in the early eighties.It stands on a flat, completely fenced land, where there are green spaces, paved paths for vehicular transit and an area for outdoor sports activities.The external areas are shared with another higher education institution, the "Fermi".The entrances to the two school complexes are completely separate and do not interfere with each other, insisting both on Via San Giovanni Bosco.The building in question is divided into two independent buildings: school building and gym, connected by a path above ground.The school building is spread over five floors, of which four above ground and one basement: in the basement there are warehouses, archives and toilets; on the mezzanine floor there is a teaching secretariat, offices, a lobby and the presidency.On the first, second and third floors there are seven classrooms, a laboratory and toilets.Τhe plan previews the realization of the following participations: realization of system of detection of the smoke and fire alarm, with substitution of the fire-fighting central to the "Fermi and the "Galilei" of n. 70 total smoke detectors; maintenance of emergency lighting system, with replacement of the electric panel on the mezzanine floor, of n. 80 safety lighting fixtures at "Fermi" and n. 30 at "Galilei"; revision of the ordinary lighting system, with replacement of LED fluorescent luminaires.Top 100 recipients:CITTÀ METROPOLITANA DI TORINO Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino ReferenceM4C1Project locations Italy EU contribution€4 400 000 000
