Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino School building security and structural rehabilitation plan (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.3)Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption.In particular, this measure aims to contribute to the improvement of energy classes and leading to lower consumption and CO2 emissions as well as to increase structural safety of buildings.Particular attention is paid to the most disadvantaged areas with the aim of tackling and eliminating economic and social imbalances.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 4.4 billion.The project is part of this investment.The 'Colombatto' school complex is located in Turin, in the large block bounded by Via Tirreno, Via Gorizia and Via Ada Negri, at an elevation of approximately 257 metres above sea level and falls within seismic zone 3, pursuant to PMC Ordinance no. 3274/2003 implemented by DGR no. 61-11017 of 17/11/2003, DGR no. 65-7656 of 21/05/2014 and DGR no. 14-2063 of 9/10/2020.The complex, dating back to the early 1980s, is the site of a professional institute for hotel and catering services and consists of several buildings constructed in the same period, interconnected and each with a specific functional use.The project's interventions will specifically concern: the seismic safety of the entire school complex; the completion of the removal of asbestos cooperture; the completion of the removal of architectural barriers; the adaptation to energy regulations; and general extraordinary maintenance works.Top 100 recipients:CITTÀ METROPOLITANA DI TORINO Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino ReferenceM4C1Project locations Italy EU contribution€4 400 000 000
