Innovative Business Cluster support programme

The measure shall support projects to digitise the value chain of the various industrial sectors, with the objective to modernise them and to include SMEs in the value chain. Clusters can obtain support for their operations, for viability studies, for project applications for Horizon Europe financing or for projects digitising a specific sector.

So far, two calls for EUR 19.6 million and EUR 8 million (2022) for innovative business clusters, Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras (AEI), have been financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility in 2021 and 2022:

The implementation of the measure is expected to be completed by 31 December 2025.

Examples of AEI:

System for automatic pruning of vineyards in Lleida:

ROBOTRIM aims to improve the production process of vineyards and reduce production costs. This project, which is in its third phase, develops an autonomous robot that, based on image processing and through a viewer system, knows what needs to be pruned in each case. This prototype has autonomous circulation and also autonomy to cut the branches of each vine precisely. ROBOTRIM is possible thanks to the alliance established since 2021 between the FEMAC Cluster, the Codorníu Group, TEYME, Vernis Motors and Atria Innovation.
