Infrastructure works in long-term care establishments

This investment, funded with EUR 329 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, supports the implementation of the ‘Reform of social services’ and aims to reform the building stock of the facilities where social services are provided to persons with disabilities and older people.

It foresees:

• renovation works for 73 existing homes for old people;
• renovation and/or construction works for 155 new establishments providing residential care and
• renovation and/or construction for 42 new establishments for provision of accompanying specialized and advisory social services to persons with disabilities.

The implementation of the project has started, through the launch of relevant calls for applications, and shall be completed by 30 June 2026.
