The project was based on advanced technologies (setting up databases using big data based on the most advanced architectures (so-called Data Fabric), development of innovative solutions and implementation of business analytics, comprehensive process automation and introduction of machine learning, advanced analytics and the usage of augmented reality and virtual reality devices.

The consortium partners developed new, innovative technological solutions and digitized the production process of aluminium semi-finished products in the Impol Group foundry at Slovenska Bistrica. The project results significantly contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the production of aluminium products and semi-finished products for further use in the automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical, food and construction industries.

An important result of the project is the development of the green aluminum module, through which the company manages data on the CO2 footprint of its products and which at the same time supports the increased use of secondary or of recycled materials in the Impol group.

The existing digital products and services of 5 partner companies (SMEs) were significantly upgraded, with 5 new digital products created.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 2 million, with the total value of the investment amounting to EUR 4 million.

The project started in April 2022 and was completed in March 2024.
