Copyright: Governo Regional da Madeira The Calheta I Power Plant (CTA I), in operation since 1953, currently uses the inflows from the Rocha Vermelha (g3) and Rabaçal (g2) levadas. With the construction of the Calheta III power plant, the Paul stage was deactivated (g1 and g4), with the waters flowing there being raised to the Pico da Urze dam and turbined in Calheta III/Calheta II.The remodelling of CTA I aims to replace end-of-life assets related to generator groups 2 and 3, with an installed unit power of 0.5 MW, with an equal or higher power and, on the other hand, to optimise the production of electricity from the Rabaçal and Rocha Vermelha stages.Additional links:https://www.eem.pt...
