Hubs that shall allow access to Internet Service Provider (ISP) services for central and local public-interest institutions and entities. Objective of the reform: To increase the resilience of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) infrastructure for the public authorities, while ensuring their cybersecurity. The investment consists in update and expansion of the gigabit internet access network for the public administration, upgrade of the cybersecurity capabilities, securing the ISP services (DNS, web, e-mail, hosting). Each county of Romania shall be connected to a national Internet distribution network. Amount: 18.390.000 Euro Essential: Each of the 41 counties will be allocated a hub in the following cities: Alba Iulia, Arad, Pitești, Bacău, Oradea, Bistrița, Botoșani, Brașov, Brăila, Buzău, Resitța, Călărași, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Sf. Gheorghe, Târgoviște, Craiova, Galați, Giurgiu, Tg. Jiu, Miercurea Ciuc, Deva, Slobozia, Iași, Baia Mare, Dr. Tr. Severin, Tg. Mureș, Piatra Neamț, Slatina, Ploiești, Satu Mare, Zalău, Sibiu, Suceava, Alexandria, Timișoara, Tulcea, Vaslui, Rm. Vălcea, Focșani. The task is making progress in the following cities: Brașov, Sibiu, Valcea, Cluj, Cristian (Brașov), Covasna, Constanța, Neamț, Mureș, Alba, Dâmbovița, Galați, Brăila, Gorj, Teleorman. The implementation of the investment shall be completed by 31 December 2024.
