Incentives for self-consumption and renewable energy storage

Incentive programs target renewable energy self-consumption, driving sustainable transition and energy efficiency. NextGenerationEU projects support Catalonia's incentive programs to promote renewable energy self-consumption across various installations, aiming to foster clean energy adoption and reduce reliance on conventional sources.

Programs 1, 2, and 4 focus on self-consumption installations utilizing renewable energy, whether with or without energy storage. These installations enable users to generate their energy from sources like solar and wind, reducing their carbon footprint while meeting energy needs.

Programs 3 and 5 are aimed at existing self-consumption installations with renewable sources. They encourage owners to adapt these setups for renewable energy self-consumption, thereby boosting net energy production in Catalonia.

Program 6 concentrates on thermal renewable energy installations, promoting their use for purposes like water heating and space heating. This reduces dependence on conventional energy sources for these applications.

These incentive programs drive the transition towards a more sustainable and clean energy model. Beyond contributing to the fight against climate change, they also stimulate job creation in the renewable energy sector and foster technological advancements.
